| Welcome to the website of the Dutch Endive Group The Dutch Endive Group (DEG) offers very interesting opportunities for the production of chicory, otherwise known as Belgian endive or witloof. The Latin name is Cichorium Intybus L. Var. Foliosum. We realise that this is only a brief overview of what the Dutch Endive Group can offer to you. Interested in learning more about your options? Your answers will enable us to work out the following calculations, based on local conditions in your country: - Cost price - Total investment - Return on investment DEG invites seriously interested people to come over to the Netherlands to see every aspect of chicory/endive production for themselves. Visit the fields (from June to October) and the cold stores, and see how we monitor the product as it progresses. In a two-day programme you will visit and be introduced to all our partners in the company of Mr. Gerald Langerak. The visit to one ore more supermarkets will be part of the programme.
